Fatima Celebration

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of our Blessed Virgin Mary to the three shepherd children at Fatima, Portugal. Our Lady appeared every month on the 13th day beginning in May and concluding in October.
 
We will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the final apparition on the vigil, Thursday, October 12th. The ceremony will begin at 7 o’clock in the evening in Saint Cecilia Church with the praying of the Rosary and the Rosary Society presentation of roses to the image of the Mother of God followed by an outdoor candle-light procession to the Statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary located in front of the church. At the conclusion of the service a short program will be presented in Hayes Hall with refreshments being served.
