Advent Retreat

Come to an Advent Retreat sponsored by the St. Monica Guild, on Saturday, December 15, 2015 at 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The retreat will be held at Saint. Francis Resort, located at 122 Diamond Spring Road, in Denville.

The subject of the retreat is ‘Mary at the Manger and Mary at the Cross’ The cost to attend is $20.00 and includes a full breakfast. Prepare this Advent season for the celebration of Christmas by reflecting on Mary at the foot of the manger and the foot of the cross. Mary's perfect discipleship shows us how we too can welcome Christ with joy, as he enters, not only the world, but our lives, and how we can look forward, with faith and hope, to His second coming, despite the difficulties and obstacles of our world.

The retreat will be led by Father Chris Barkhausen, parochial vicar of St. Patrick in Chatham and the diocesan Boy Scout Chaplain. Checks should be made payable to St. Cecilia Church and can be dropped off at either Sacred Heart or St. Cecilia’s by December 1, 2015.
